WHY NOT THE BEST SCHOOLS

  • by

Why Not the Best Schools motivates teachers to consider how they teach and contrast and compare to globally effective structures. The essence of this workshop is that a school cannot exceed the quality of its teachers. This presentation draws on the work of Brian J Caldwell, Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and data from the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement.

Why Not The Best Schools empowers teachers by…

  • Defines what is meant by the use of the term “best”
  • Understanding the indicators used by effective schools around the world that are underpinned and connected by a governance model and vision for the school:

    – Social capital
    – Spiritual capital
    – Financial capital
